ABOUT US
THE MAGAZINE

That the world has changed in recent years is obvious and who doesn't believe it, or is blind or is determined to live in a time that no longer exists. The time on which we live is eminently complex. Difuse boundaries, reality shows itself transversely interconnected. What were once fields, narrow drawers that sought the whole, now are presented under the label of the interdisciplinary. Exchange networks that enrich and complement. It makes no sense to live a past time. It makes no sense to perpetuate an exhausted system.

This is the starting point for the art collective Plastic Crowds, where we take the collaboration between disciplines as flag. In this way, artists, designers, art historians, architects, poets, photographers, and a long list of related professions and backgrounds join forces to carry out a joint project.

We want to investigate, create artistic content horizontally, collaborate no matter our discipline of origin and, above all, learning by doing. This is how Plastic Crowds is born.

This publication is intended as a work of contemporary creation and curation in which the contributions of the collaborators articulate a speech that can be explored and understood as a whole.

In this first issue we'll talk about bubbles.

Why the bubble? We are conscious that this is one of the major themes in our dailylife. In Plastic Crowds we challenge with the intend to start our artistic career addressing this concept. Because it is our immediate reality which shapes and conditions us. We understand realizing the problems as a starting point to find solutions and to make very clear where we do not want to walk.

As a form of awareness.

We truly hope you enjoy our work.

Welcome.

WHAT? WHO? YOU?
WHAT IS PLASTIC CROWDS?
Plastic Crowds is an artistic collective. Our work is focused in the publication of a magazine where people from different disciplines collaborate together reflecting on a theme. We also try to encompass other areas such as research publications, the creation and selling of art pieces and the organization of cultural events.
WHO CAN JOIN?
This collective is formed by architects, designers, artists, art historians, photographers, poets, musicians, etc. If you are interested in collaborating with this interdisciplinary project, the only requirement to be part of Plastic Crowds is to present a portfolio with your work.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We want to investigate, to create artistic contents horizontally, to collaborate no matter which our disciplines are and, the most important, to learn by doing.
